How does the water softening process work?

The water softening process is based on the principle of ion exchange. The filter removes calcium and magnesium ions from the water, which cause water hardness. As the temperature rises, these elements turn into visible particles and settle on heating elements, mixers, and other surfaces. The accumulated layer of limescale reduces heat transfer, increases energy consumption, and shortens the service life of appliances.

In addition, the ClackSoft filter has a function that allows it to absorb and remove divalent iron, further improving water quality. This is especially important in areas where the water contains iron impurities.

Smart control and efficient operation

The ClackSoft system is equipped with a Clack WS1 microprocessor controller with three operating modes:

1. Meter Immediate – regeneration is performed immediately upon reaching the set water volume;
2. Meter Delayed – regeneration is postponed until a convenient time;
3. Time Clock – regeneration according to a set timer.

The Days Override and Double Backwash functions of the controller ensure efficient and long-lasting operation of the system. The backwashing process is based on actual water consumption, which saves resources and reduces maintenance requirements. Only salt and water are consumed during operation.

Easy maintenance and economical operation

A NaCl salt solution made from tableted salt is used for filter regeneration. It is consumed in proportion to the amount of water, so the system works efficiently without unnecessary costs. The removable top cover allows for easy salt refilling, and the compact design is suitable even for smaller spaces – from apartments to private homes.
